brand language

What is brand language?

Brand language is the basic starting point for any communications and marketing you do. It’s crucial that you sort out how you articulate your brand’s message before you even begin to think about copywriting, web design, re-designs, logos, or marketing.

I work with clients to produce a document called a Brand Book that defines key marketing messages, brand story and the business culture.

These are some of the ingredients we work on in the Brand Language Discovery Workshops:

  • Central organising thought
  • Articulated strategic objectives and vision
  • Naming and straplines
  • Core marketing messages (benefits, attributes and features)
  • Emotional and hard benefits
  • Target audience groups
  • Elevator pitch
  • Brand values
  • Metaphor and themes
  • Tone of voice

  • My Talk Notes on Fruitful Collaboration
