Hosted at the beautiful training space at The Lab for the Recently Possible, with post-it notes, marker pens and plenty of refreshments, this workshop is designed to give you a full day’s rigorous experience of writing for the web with lots of individual feedback.
By the end of the day you will have a tool kit of techniques to take home and stronger confidence in your web copywriting skills. All the skills you learn can be applied to blogging, web copy pages and even offline copywriting.
Who is it for?
You might want to add web copywriting to your set of work skills because you’re a full time employee who has a responsibility for marketing, design or writing content in your company.
You might run your own business, or work as a freelancer and you’d like to save money on the marketing process by honing your copywriting skills by yourself.
What will you gain from this workshop?
• A checklist for making sure that your copywriting is well structured and interesting to read
• A blueprint tool to help you develop your business messages and page structure
• A stronger sense of the tone of voice right for your brand
• A sense of how to develop a strategy for your content
• An ability to recognise the common errors
• A sense of the details such as what to label links and buttons
What you’ll need
A subject, blog post or piece of web copy that you’d like to work on as an example. This might even be your business ‘about’ page.
For the practical exercises you may want to use a laptop or iPad.
